CREDIT SYSTEM

The B.A. Degree in the Liberal Arts is awarded on the basis of a minimum of fifty credits between course work and a thesis. A student aims to accumulate a minimum of twenty five credits from course work. At that stage, a student is entitled to work on, and submit a major thesis which must reach a minimum of twenty five credits.  The student aims to accumulate 25 or more credits from course work over a minimum of three years. It is recommended a student take between two and three courses per year. A maximum of 5 credits per year is awarded for each individual course studied. This is achieved by receiving a maximum of 2 credits per essay and 1 credit for attendance (credits for attendance will only be awarded if course work is submitted). Credits are also awarded for presentations made, attendance at seminars, field trips and Summer Schools.
