Course: European Literature:

My course will deal with three great literary movements, European Romanticism, European Modernism and European Existentialism.
The first set of lectures will deal with English, French and German Romanticism in the works of Coleridge, Byron, Keats, Goethe, Schiller,Balzac, Baudelaire and Dostoyevsky.
The second set will examine European Modernism in the works of T.S. Eliot, D.H. Laurence, Thomas Mann, James Joyce, W.B. Yeats and Graham Greene.
The final set of lectures will then examine Literary Existentialism in the works of Friedrich Nietzsche, jean Paul Sartre, Albert Camus and Simone de Beauvoir.
Please note that the format of most courses will change from time to time. Some courses may not be available to students in a particular year.
